Operations Manager

Essential Job Functions (fundamental job duties)

  • · High level of diplomacy and the ability to relate to people in a team environment and to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Provide leadership and supervision of personnel to establish and maintain a well-motivated team including training, supporting, developing each team member to maximize output and results while enforcing guidelines and policies.
  • · Maintain safe work environment improving upon the internal and complying with OSHA safety standards and IDEM regulations.
  • · Coordinates with the CEO and CFO on the development of Annual Operating Plans.
  • · Develops and implements standardization and organization actions with appropriate control systems to advance internal efficiencies.
  • · Lead the charge to drive down production rework and scrap while consistently delivering quality parts.
  • · Passionately leverage teamwork to advance production efficiency levels within each manufacturing cell.
  • · Lead production scheduling of all manufacturing operations necessary to achieve OTD targets.
  • · Coordinate with the CEO and CFO to maintain targeted inventory levels by item number.
  • · Lead maintenance team to optimize machine life, minimize downtime and maintain the facility to a high standard.
  • · Actively lead advancement in metrics, processes, documentation, and strict adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
  • · Support product engineering development initiatives with priority and collaborative feedback.
  • Evaluate the performance of the associates reporting to this position and review her/his evaluation with each at least once per year as defined in the Performance Management Process.
  • · Work with Human Resources to continually improve training programs that focus on advancing human capital in every position for the betterment of each person and Micromatic’s business needs.

Marginal Job Functions (non-fundamental job duties)

  • Blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Keep abreast of technology advancements applicable to improving operations.
  • Keep abreast of materials related to the Company's needs, through trade publications, seminars, and classes.

  • · Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate and leverage the ERP system.

Education (What is the minimum education level necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience for operations management with machining and high product mix.

Experience (What is the minimum years of experience necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)

  • · Minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing environment.
